Our Story

Creating “new value” through trust and partnership
For more than 40 years, Nakamura Corporation has been providing a wide range of products that meet the changing times and diversifying needs of the market by taking advantage of its strength as a fabless maker and not being restricted by conventional production methods.
One such case is the story behind the development of the “tin box”.
We spent many days struggling with what kind of design was best suited to create new value in the world.
Then I came across a traditional Shizuoka “tea box” by chance.
Tea boxes have long been used to store tea leaves, and when we learned that the galvanized steel sheet used for these boxes has excellent resistance to moisture and mold, we were convinced that this was the material we were looking for.
It was not easy to find a manufacturing partner who could produce products using galvalume steel sheets, but we were able to proceed with the project with a partner who could give form to our strong desire.
In the process of reworking the prototype, we were able to complete a storage box that not only resists moisture and mold that defies the common wisdom of the past, but also has a beautiful design. It was a proud moment for us, a joy of manufacturing. We value above all our trusted relationships with domestic and international makers as “Connecting the dots”.
A network of trust that connects these “dots” and “dots” together is the foundation that supports our manufacturing, and the ideas and technologies that emerge from this network will lead us to the next stage of evolution.
Based on this trust, we aim to grow not only on our own, but also with our partners who work together with us in manufacturing.
Through partnerships, Nakamura is able to take on new challenges and continue to provide high-quality, innovative products.
